As an entity for transshipment of petroleum products, Inter Stock B.V is fully aware of its responsibility to comply with the norms and requirements for ensuring industrial safety. In order to prevent accidents, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Netherlands, Inter Stock B.V has established an effective industrial safety management system at hazardous production facilities and developed a "Regulation on the Industrial Safety Management System".

In accordance with the above-mentioned and in order to implement measures for the prevention of accidents and incidents, localization and elimination of their consequences, a number of preventive measures are carried out at the Terminal:

Suction and pressure process pipelines have remotely controlled shut-off valves located outside the pumping stations, which allows you to monitor and control the technological process from the operator's workplace.
Non-return valves are installed on the injection pipelines to prevent the movement of petroleum products in reverse.
The pipelines are equipped with an electric heating system for constant maintenance of the temperature process parameters of the pumped medium.
The facility provides a system for monitoring the level of petroleum products in tanks with the output of sound and light alarms to the Central control Point.
The tanks are equipped with breathing and safety valves with a throughput capacity in accordance with the maximum productivity of technological operations for draining and filling.
The working pressure of the medium in vessels and apparatuses is controlled by automated systems, including indicators, alarms and safety valves, with the issuance of readings and a light signal to the Automated operator's workplace.
A plan to prevent and eliminate oil spills on the onshore part of the Rotterdam terminal has been developed and agreed with the state control and supervisory authorities.
A plan for the prevention and elimination of oil and oil products spills in the water area of the Rotterdam commercial sea port has been developed and approved.

We help in identifying the events that resulted in an accident or incident. We interview relevant personnel and inspect the location of the incident in order to clearly define the sequence of events that led to the episode taking place.
